Estate enough. We were first time property buyers abroad and were a bit
apprehensive to say the least. We were picked up by the most wonderful

During the purchase process they were easily accessible, clear and accurate. Pleasant to work together.
During the COVID pandemic we have asked to have the house cleaned. Every
week someone came to take care of the garden and to inspect the house.

Now that we have finally been able to fly to Lanzarote after a year
(COVID pandemic) ... we can finally enjoy our home. There are always a
number of issues that need to be addressed (minor repairs, final
cleaning, subscriptions and contracts) and luckily Sonia is always at
our side with advice and assistance. She is very easy to reach and, more
importantly, trustworthy.
If you buy a property in another country as a foreigner, you will have
to rely on professionals who know the market and the people. Luckily we
hit Sonia. We can heartily recommend her!

‘When
you buy property in a foreign country you are always a bit out of your
depth but Optima Estates and particularly Julia, made the process as
smooth as possible. The team at Optima go way beyond what an agent in
our country would do and if need be they help you with obtaining a bank
account, going to the police station to obtain your NIE,…Even more
importantly, when after the sale the inevitable minor problems with the
house crept up, Julia was always there to help and make sure the
builder’s people came to the house to fix them.
What we also appreciated is that Optima promptly gave us straight
answers to our questions (‘yes, the land in front of that house is
buildable and they can…’). Hence we experienced Optima Villas as a
reliable and trustworthy agent and would not hesitate to recommend them,
something we probably would hesitate to do for some of the other agents
in Playa Blanca.

‘Blown away’ by our positive experience ‘
“After
viewing properties with another agent (and having limited success) we
were only due to see a single property with Optima, this property also
proved to be ‘not for us’. However it was this chance viewing that
introduced us to Sonia and Julia at Optima. At this viewing Sonia took
the time to really listen to our requirements and to ‘Seize the Day’ in
offering to drive us that afternoon to Playa Blanca (the viewing was in
Puerto Calero) and show us round further properties that she believed
could meet our requirements. En route, Sonia called Julia at the office
who immediately set about arranging viewings for that same afternoon.
We then met Julia who drove and escorted us to all of the scheduled
viewings. This was the afternoon where we found into our ‘dream
property’ and where Julia and Sonia really stepped it up to make our
property purchase in Lanzarote a reality. We had to move quickly, we
only had a few days left on the island, but with their help, we
organised a 2nd viewing, agreed a price, met a local solicitor (ASG) who
made the necessary arrangements to set up our NIE registration to allow
us to open a bank account (Banco Sabadell) and introduced us to a
currency company.
Once we returned to the UK, Julia and Sonia continued to progress, push,
reassure and manage our purchase until we finally returned to the
island to complete the transaction and pick up our keys. Having bought
several properties in the UK, we were ‘blown away’ by our positive
experience of property purchasing in Lanzarote, all thanks to Optima and
the expertise of Sonia and Julia alongside the recommendations they
made for legal and financial support.
We cannot recommend Optima highly enough, nothing was too much trouble
for them including driving and escorting us everywhere we needed to be
when we needed to be there, they really are ‘The Dream Team’ and we
cannot thank them enough.
